In
the King James Version of the Bible Exodus 12: 6 reads this way: "and ye
shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole
assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening."
You will find
interesting to know that the literal translation for "evening" is
"between
two evenings."
When we begin
to really study the WORD of God deep, we will find gold nuggets waiting
for the picking and edify our spirits. Then we realize that the Lamb of
God was crucified between two evenings of the High Sabbath of the Passover
season.
We begin to
look further and go to the book of St. Mark 15:33 and there we find that
the scriptures highlights our comprehension of what really happened that
day when the LORD died on the cross.
JESUS
DIES ON THE CROSS "And when
the
sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land
until
the ninth hour."
Mark
15: 33 KJV
The Lord
was nailed on the tree in Calvary at nine in the morning. At exactly twelve
noon, which the Jews referred to as the sixth hour, something extraordinary
occurred.
Darkness came
upon the land and it lasted until three in the afternoon, or the ninth
hour, the hour the Master died.
Jesus Christ literally
fulfilled the prophesy in Exodus 12:5
and died between the first and the second evening, or darkness,
for after His death, the sun rose again, and then the sun set again at
the regular hour.
The spirit
of confusion, denial, and conflict upon the Pharisees who stood there and
knew Torah backwards blinded them from recognizing Messiah and the hour
of their visitation.
Yes, they knew
their LAW to the last jot and tittle. This shows how thick their blindness
was as to their visitation. They were being visited by the God of Creation
and still they put Him to the Cross.
It is absolutely
imperative that we have the Holy Spirit in our lives that He might reveal
Jesus Christ in order for us to understand Scripture. This is the only
way for us to be FREE from sin and TRADITIONs of men.
It is a wonderful
miracle when we finally come to the place where we see our personal need
for our Saviour and begin to believe on HIM.
The
Spiritually Dead Are Made Alive
And you hath
he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins:
wherein in
time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to
the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the
children of disobedience:
among whom
also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh,
fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature
the children of wrath, even as others.
Ephesians
2:1 KJV
It is absolutely
critical to understand that our salvation is the ultimate miracle! It is
greater than raising the dead, greater than making the sun stand still,
and greater than healing the sick.
Our salvation
was bought with the greatest price ever made for humanity, given to us
by God the father according to or in fulfillment of all the Scriptures.
Yes down to the smallest promise and prophesy.
When I was
saved and came to the LORD Jesus Christ, the LORD removed every demon away
from me so that we could see THE LIGHT. My salvation, your salvation is
greater than all the miracles in the Bible put together.
We are not
saved through our own understanding. We are not brought into the Kingdom
through any works, worth or merit. It is only through the POWER of The
HOLY SPIRIT.
And
if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace.
But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more
work.
