 People around the country and the globe know Pastor Edmund DeSoto as a noted teacher/evangelist. speaker. 

They know him as the author of what now has become the best-selling book in the ministry, "The Providence of Prayer" and for his "A Night Of Worship With The LORD" worship services held around the country with the Shout Of Victory Ministry Team. 

Other publications soon to be released like  "On Bent Knees," "The Real Truth That Leads To Eternal Life," and "Then They Will Know That You Alone Are Yahweh,"  will soon be available to the ministry and the general public as well.

His TV program "The Living word Program" is among the most watched facet of his ministry. The Living Word Program is seen and ministers to thousands if not millions all over the world. Those involved with the ministry watch it daily. The program is seen and heard via internet through an alliance of twenty-four different networks. The Living Word Program is also heard weekly throughout the United States via radio. Beginning march 4th, The Living Word Program will be heard in the State of New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania. The Beginning

Edmund De Soto: Author, Broadcaster, Teacher, Preacher, Evangelist, Interpreter/Translator, was born on October 22, 1956, in the city of Cabaiguan, (part of the Las Villas Province), of Cuba as Edmundo Fidel Soto, Pradera, Martinez, Montiagudo The Second. His family and very close friends call him Mundi.

The nickname was given to him by his father and mother to make reference to the ("Year of the world")

Mundi is also also used in reckoning dates from the supposed period of the creation of the world, especially as fixed by James Ussher at 4004 b.c. or by the Jews at 3761 b.c. 

The nickname has been used to name a recent young company that is in the making, Mundi World Studios. This company produces audio and video programs for Edmund De Soto Ministries for the teaching of the Gospel as well as for other Ministries.

Edmund was born in the city of Cabaiguan. Cabaiguan is a small city in the province of Las Villas Cuba. This is the city where His parents met, married and gave birth to some of the children born to them. All together, there have been seven children born to his parents, four boys and three girls, Edmund being the first born. Two boys were lost at the time of birth.

His father's family had set up residence in this city after they were relocated with the then known Cuban Ma-Bell telephone company. His mother's family had moved to that part of the country as well to be closer with the rest of the Pradera family. Both sides of the family are of Spaniard descendants as most Cubans are.

In 1968, not long after the Cuban Missile Crisis, he, his immediate family, including family members of both sides of the family, immigrated to The United States to escape the grips of the newly established Castros' Communist regime.

The family settled in different parts of the United States and Canada. Edmund's parents settled in the North East Coast of the United States in the state of New Jersey. Edmund's family is large in size. Part of the year Edmund resides in the North East Coast of the United States, strategically near the foundation of the ministry and where most of his family is.

THE MINISTRY

In September of 1972, Edmund's life took on an entirely new purpose when he surrendered his heart and life to Jesus Christ through one of Billy Graham's Television Crusades.

This was the answer to his said prayer during catechism in the Roman Catholic Church and the birth to "The Providence of Prayer" and "A Saving Faith In Him." Both are now classic teachings and the foundation of everything The Shout Of Victory Ministries stands for.

In a national ministry through radio and television, Pastor Edmund De Soto has preached the Gospel face to face to thousands of people.  Through his "The Living Word Program," the "A Night Of Worship With The Lord" worship services, "The Catacombs Fellowship" school of ministry, the Internet, mobil devices, the printed page, and audio-video recordings, this man with humble beginnings, son of immigrants from communist Cuba, this evangelist's straight to the point, this very forward giant of medium stature with the uncompromising message of God's Salvation message, has inspired countless thousands to begin a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, The Son Of The Living God.

The ministry is presently looking to get involved in crisis relief programs and/or looking for ways to aide adult and children's homes. Also the ministry is looking into being involved in a feeding program that will help communities get back on their feet and at the same time use an effective program to teach them the Gospel.

When time allows and the ministry is not on the road, regular visits to hospitals and prisons are done where prayers are said for the sick and those under the grip of bondage. This type of ministry has moved the heart of those in Shout of Victory Ministries into new areas of compassion as well. Shout of Victory Ministries serves the Benny Hinn Ministries and members of SHOUT are given an opportunity to volunteer and work for large crusades Pastor Benny Hinn conducts around the country.

During the past year alone, pastor Edmund DeSoto invested precious time traveling teaching and presenting the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in Florida, New Jersey, Georgia, Nevada and different parts of Michigan. He also spent significant time filming "The Living Word Program" and recording audio programs in the Shout Of Victory Ministry's newly created National Radio Program called "In My Own Words".

Today, Pastor Edmund continues to take the message of God's saving and healing power to those who would receive it. At times not tens, but hundreds, attend his A Night Of Worship With The LORD worship services. 

Pastor Edmund has participated in memorable crusades with the Benny Hinn Ministries where up to twenty or more thousand people have been gather together to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One of his most memorable worship services was when he had the privilege of teaching and ministering to 250 pastors in the city of Nazareth, Israel in September of 2007. "I will never forget that night in Nazareth Israel as long as I live" said pastor Edmund in one of his programs recently.

During recent years in his travels, he has had the honor to minister to Bishops and Apostles within the Church. Amongst the prominent ones have been the Bishop of Ethiopia. 

Regardless of who has been present in the audience, whether mayors, prime ministers, congressmen or heads of state, his message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ continues to remain as fervent, and truthful as the first day he preached and delivered it from the first time. 

He remains truthful to Mark 15:15 to...
“go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” that this...
"this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

After more than 20 years in ministry, in one way or another, whether as a private citizen, public figure, author, broadcaster, builder of the church, and most of all and evangelist, Pastor Edmund De Soto is determined to remain committed, more than ever, to preach this Gospel not only to the lost but to edify those already in a personal relationship with the Creator of the Universe, Jesus Christ!

  THE CATACOMBS FELLOWSHIP ™

In his autobiography, The Providence of Prayer - Edmund began to sense his call from the LORD before he was born again in September 1972. This calling begun during his catechism time in the Roman Catholic Church.

It was not until he received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour and was born again from the Lord's Spirit that he had dreams and saw himself preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to enormous crowds around the world.

Ironically then, in December of 1973, hungry for God's Word, young Edmund accepted a bible study from the Watchtower Society and became involved with them on and off for a period of seven years. This continued until 1979 when finally Edmund rededicated his life to the LORD and begun to study the Scriptures under the umbrella of Benny Hinn Ministries.

Says Edmund, "The message of the Bible is simple and clear and speaks to us personally. The Word strengthens our call and makes us strong." By 1986 he began to understand his calling and the journey to look deeper into Scripture for answers commenced.

As The Lord spoke to him through His Word to preach the Gospel, the message of the Holy Spirit was that Edmund must prepare himself to teach and preach the Gospel of Salvation.

Young Edmund began to speak at other people's meetings. Then healings took place without him knowing and people were being born again. That is ther most important message of all, Salvation. They were being touched by God in ways he never understood then, until just recently.

In 1989 Edmund and his parents became acquainted with the Benny Hinn Minsitries after a series of visitations to different messianic, denominational and pentecostal churches. 

After a season of prayer, they finally understood that they had already found the mantle that would forever cover them.

The Benny Hinn Ministries has been since then, The Mantle, The Covering, The Protection that covers Edmund's life and Shout Of Victory, his ministry. There will never be another, for I have yet to see a denomination, a group, or church that honors The Lord Jesus Christ, His Holy Spirit and His Work in the way BHM does.

Jesus, the Son of The Living God is the sole reason why this ministry is in operation and the gospel according to Scripture shall continued to be preached regardless of the opposition it receives when it is told without any compromises.

Edmund wrote once, "A Man's Heart Can Change In An Instant When The Heart Is Given A Second Chance To Live. This Chance Must Be Given To The Heart Of Every Man. But Sometimes, A Heart Is Way Long Dead Before The Man Dies.

This is, according to Edmund, his personal experience when he was given a second chance to serve God. (Taken From The Providence of Prayer)

He had inquired God from childhood about the calling the Lord had shown him. That night, as Pastor Benny got up to speak, God touched Edmund and his family like they had never been touched before and then he knew. All answers to his questions were now a reality.

In September 1975, Edmund De Soto renounced the teachings of the Watchtower Society and was dis-fellowship from that Organization. Although the Watchtower Society tried to shun him from his father, mother, and siblings, they were never successful. 

Edmund opened the Scripture to his parents and led both his mother and his father to a rededication of their lives to HIM and to HIM that lives for ever alone.

In a later season of his ministry, Pastor Edmund held "A Night Of Worship With The Lord" worship services where he taught in a series of meetings. These worship meetings were conducted in Edgewater, New Jersey in a Presbyterian Church, to his newly created Catacombs Fellowship group, now a worldwide Fellowship.

There, in these worship services, Pastor Edmund always gave, as he does still now, testimony under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, of what God is doing in his life. From this small beginning was birthed a great ministry that even now is engulfing the planet.

A recent culmination of this call occurred when Edmund De Soto had notable miracles take place in the Cities of Reno, Nevada, Atlanta, Georgia, Detroit, Mio, Grayling, Michigan and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

This has confirmed what he has always known. This call is of God and the assignment from God will be accomplished in this lifetime for as long as Edmund walks God's good earth.
