YOU
SHALL HAVE
NO
OTHER gods
"Thou shalt
have no other gods before me"
Exodus
20:3 KJV
"For the
time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles,
when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings,
and abominable idolatries: wherein they think it strange that ye run not
with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: who shall give
account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead."

Believers
in general would be "astonished" to know that much of what has been widely
accepted as "Christian Truth" has its origins in paganism and comes from
a Greek Westernized mindset.
Its roots?
The Council
at Nicaea in 325 AD.
EDMUND DESOTO
In order to understand
Hebrew text and Greek Scripture properly, it becomes imperative to recognize
the fundamental approach from which the words on these pages, meaning Holy
text, were written.
What is the fundemantal
approach to Holy Text? I beleive that the fundamental approach, in this
case to Holy Text or Holy Scripture, in these pages is designed to determine
whether the Holy Text from which we derive our faith and reasoning from
is sound, has a strong foundation and is able to continue to support our
theology.
Throughout
Holy Text or Holy Scripture, there are three things that divides all mankind
and remain indisputable separate between all people. This applies to all
nations, the Jew, the Gentile, the slave man, the free man, the male and
female.
All of Text
and Scripture was written by Hebrew people, they were written from a Hebrew
mindset that saw the rest of the world from this perspective of the Hebrew
God of Israel.
For starters,
not one Hebrew scholar, writer, prophet or teacher has ever incorporated
a gentile tradition or pagan teaching in Hebrew Text in order to teach
the pagan nations about the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Yeshua (Jesus)
even reinforced this perspective in Matthew
18:15-17.
Moreover
if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between
thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
But if he
will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth
of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
And if he
shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect
to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican.
Today, the argument
is that in the name of Jesus, we will use pagan tradition in order to teach
and bring them the LORD.
We
may not think of the traditions, like the Easter Bunny, Halloween, Santa
Clause, celebrating Christmas on December 25th, the Christmas Tree etc.,
that we embrace today as being pagan, Gentile in nature, (non Jewish).
If they, traditions,
do not line up with this Hebrew text and scriptural Hebrew perspective,
by definition, they are simply pagan traditions.
Some may not even
consider what they embrace to be classified as "tradition" perhaps
the reason for "surprise" in 1 Peter
above?
You
have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy
their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties,
and their terrible worship of idols.
Of course,
your former friends are very surprised when you no longer join them in
the wicked things they do, and they say evil things about you.
But just
remember that they will have to face God, who will judge everyone, both
the living and the dead.

Peter 4:3-5 KJV
Yeshua gave us
the definition of tradition in Mark 7:12-13
KJV as that which has been "handed down"
to us by others – supposedly, by learned men.
And
ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; making
the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered:
and many such like things do ye.
Mark
7:12-13 KJV
So much tradition
has been intertwined into what we believe over several millennia that,
for most of us, we are not even aware of its existence in our lives or
from where it came.
Believers in
general would be "astonished" to know that much of what has been widely
accepted as "Christian Truth" has its origins in paganism and comes from
a Greek Westernized mindset.
Its roots?
The Council at Nicaea in 325 AD.
The sole purpose
of this council of bishops in the city of Nicaea in Bithynia (which is
present day the city of Iznik in the country of Turkey) by the Roman Emperor
Constantine, was specifically to propose the adoption of a separate New
Pauline Religion (named after the apostle paul) with anti Semitic tones.
This is now known as "Christianity".
(I
encourage you to search Google for a quick history on The Council of Nicaea.
This council begun the foundation for the Roman Catholic Church, which
kept intact the traditions of the pagan world.)
Of course this
council in Nicaea occurred hundreds of years after the deaths of the Hebrew
witnesses to the Resurrection so it was easier to incorporate pagan rituals
in this new found religion. To be exact 325 years after the resurrection.
Paul
did not even write the first letter to the Corinthians until the year 55
A.D. and some of those who witnessed the resurrection had already passed
on. He was still in Ephesus during his third missionary effort.
Paul worked
in Corinth from about AD 50 to 52. After a brief stay in Jerusalem, he
returned to his missionary work, this time at Ephesus, where he ministered
for three years. During this period, he wrote at least three letters to
Corinth and made a visit as well.
This would allow
the gentiles coming into of the NEW PAULINE religion or so-called "Christianity"
to feel confortable with their new found faith. It was here, 325 years
after the resurrection of the LORD that the tradition of the pagan holiday
of "Easter" was officially and formally adapted.
THE REASON?
For the purpose
of making it easier for new Gentile converts as well as help convert new
gentiles into this new PAULINE RELIGION and make them join their ranks
with a pagan ritual that was practiced by them for centuries.
These pagan
practices were similar to what they, the gentiles, the nations or the pagans,
had already been acquainted with in other worldly religions for centuries.
This adoption of pagan practices would make it easier for them to accept
the Roman Catholic Church and its new found religion.
The Result?
Pagan TRADITION
Easter
has become one of several traditions celebrated as "Christian" whose roots
can be historically traced to ancient pagan rites. How sad.
The actual
origin of Easter dates back to not long after the global flood recorded
in Genesis 6-9. Please read.
Nimrod, a grandson
of Noah, had turned from following his grandfather's God and had become
a tyrannical ruler, believing the original clothing of animal skins of
Adam he had acquired through thievery elevated him to godlike status.
According to
the biblical record, as king, Nimrod created Babel (in which came the infamous
tower - Genesis 11:1-9), Nineveh, Asshur, Calla and other cities, all known
for lifestyles that promoted unspeakable evil and perversion.
When Nimrod died,
his wife, Queen Semiramis, deified him as the Sun-god, or Life Giver which
later would become known as Baal, the Great Life Giver, the god of fire,
Baalim, Bel, Molech, etc. and those who followed the religion Semiramis
created in his name would be called Baal worshippers.
They became
associated with idolatry, demon worship, child sacrifice and other evil
practices.
All these traditions
and practices were incorporated in The Council at Nicaea in 325 AD.
The origin
of Easter involves the birth of Semiramis' illegitimate son, Tammuz.
Somehow, Semiramis
convinced the people that Tammuz was actually Nimrod reborn. Since the
people had been looking for the promised savior since Adam, please see
Genesis 3:15, they were persuaded by Semiramis to believe that Tammuz was
that savior, even that he had been supernaturally conceived.
Before long,
in addition to worshipping Tammuz or Nimrod reborn, the people also worshipped
Semiramis herself as the goddess of fertility.
In other cultures,
she has been called Ishtar, Ashtur and yes, she has been called Easter,
going back to the springtime ritual instituted by Semiramis following the
death of Tammuz, who, according to tradition, was killed by a wild boar.
Legend has
it that through the power of his mother's tears, Tammuz was "resurrected"
in the form of new vegetation that appeared on the earth.
THE RABBIT
Because of
their prolific nature, rabbits have long been associated with fertility
and the goddess Ishtar, or EASTER thus contemporary traditions such as
the Easter Bunny and The Easter egg can also be traced back
to the practices of ancient Babylonian established by Semiramis, the original
Madonna, still worshipped today in Iraq.
Wanting
to have nothing with their Jewish heritage and seeking to distance themselves
from its roots that they may become more politically aligned with
the Roman empire, the pagan rites of Easter were embraced by the Council
of Nicaea in the year 325 A.D.
It was Rome
that was heavily persecuting Jews at the time and to make "Christianity"
more palpable to the increasingly non Jewish believers of the world, they
decided to give their new found religion, "Christianity" and give it a
brand "NEW face-lift".
What was
known as the worship of the pagan god of baal and the goddess of fertility
became assimilated into the TRUE Faith of our LORD and SAVIOR Jesus Christ.
So now this new "PAULINE Christian religion" refers to resurrection day
or the feast of First Fruits as the pagan holiday of Easter.
Separating from
GOD, mingling with the world and compromising our faith the commandments
of God with the comfort of the world is as old as the tower of Babel.
Please
tell me what good is it to recite the TEN Commandments of GOD every week,
in every church service, in every Sunday service, if we are the first ones
that are willing to compromise our worship with that of defiled pagan gods
and break His commandments?
To give ourselves
to the rites of Easter is to worship the pagan god of the Gentiles – not
the One True God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
To say, "Well,
I don't worship an idol. I am really just worshipping Jesus in my heart.
After all, outward appearances don't mean anything" is to say to the God
of Creation that you know better than He about what it means to worship
something.
Yeshua (salvation,
Jesus ) repeated what the Father originally said that what we serve, what
we give ourselves to, IS what we worship.
Then
saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt
worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Matthew
4:10 KJV
Take heed to yourselves,
that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods,
and worship them;
Deuteronomy
11:16 KJV
The Easter "sunrise"
ritual is directly associated with this pagan worship of the sun-god, Baal.
The reality of the Jewish Yeshua's Resurrection actually occurred at night,
just after sundown.
While pagans,
gentiles and non believers celebrate the rites of spring, calling
it "Easter", with the Easter Bunny and The Easter egg,
we
the Jews and believers of the LORD Jesus Christ and His Father the God
of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob celebrate Passover, the anniversary of the
day the God of Israel delivered the Hebrews out of bondage from Egypt.
YHWH (Elohim
or GOD) had demanded the firstborn male from every household as a
judgment upon the Egyptian gods. . .
For
I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the
firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the
gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.
Exodus
12:12 KJV
However The LORD
God Almighty had promised to "pass over" any house with the blood
of a perfect lamb smeared on its door post.
He then commanded
a remembrance of this deliverance with the Passover memorial at the beginning
of the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
Pesach is the
Hebrew word for Passover.
It was on Pesach
that our LORD and Saviour, Yeshua, became that perfect lamb by spilling,
by shedding His Uncorrupted Blood to fulfill the Covenant of bringing life
out of death promised by the Father.
To appropriate
the Blood of the Jewish Lamb over the door posts of our life means to separate
ourselves from the worship and bondage of the false gods of the Gentile
world. Why are you mingling with bunnies and eater eggs?
The biggest
problem we have with the pagan rite of Easter is that, in distancing
itself from the Jewish origin, it obliterates the Truth of the Resurrection.
Yeshua said
the only sign given to validate His anointing would be the sign of Jonah
who was in the belly of the whale for three days and three nights.
If Jesus, Yeshua,
went to the Cross on the Gregorian calendar of what we call today Friday,
then He was dead only one day.
Let's read:
Then
certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we
would see a sign from thee.
But he answered
and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign;
and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
for as Jonas
was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son
of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Matthew
12:38-40 KJV
