The
Overview
And
The
Christian World view
Introduction
Every account in order
to be understood and regardless of nature clearly needs to be told from
the very beginning. This is the true story as it has been recorded in our
sacred Jewish books since before the time Moses wrote the first Five Books
known as Torah or the Book of the Law and what we now call the Holy Bible.
The story begun
to be orally told since before the of Jasher and has continued all the
way down till today climaxing in the book of Revelation.
We have the
Gospel according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. I will write in my own
words God's account as it is recorded at God's instruction by early man
and carefully passed down through the centuries trough His people the Jews.
This is the Gospel according to Edmund.
In
the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. He also created the
plants and animals, and finally he created man.
At that time
man was created to not know the difference between good and evil, and to
not know death. God was present and had a different and more direct relationship
with man.
To the first
man and woman, God also gave a simple command that God warned, if broken,
would cause them to die. And so God gave man the ability to choose.
Man was tempted
and curious, and eventually violated the command. This act caused man to
first learn the difference between good and evil, and evil entered the
world. This is also when man first learned distrust and disobedience. The
death God spoke of occurred when God explained that man would not be allowed
to live forever in this new condition.
Over subsequent
generations the wickedness of man increased. The first murder occurred
in the second generation of man living on the earth. In time the world
became so filled with violence again and God brought floodwaters for the
second time on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens.
Every creature
that had the breath of life in it was destroyed in the flood that Noah
predicted under the direction of the Holy Spirit. The first flood destroy
the earth at the time of Lucifer's rebellion when ruling the pre-Adamic
race on the earth.
Everything
on earth perished. Those that God spared became the progenitors of the
people now living today. God selected a single person to be the father
of a “model people". They became descendants of which became of the nation
of Israel.
God maintained
a close relationship with this people over numerous generations in which
he protected them both openly and miraculously.
He dwelt among
them, gave them special laws, administered justice, and established them
as a lasting people. A king was selected to lead the people, but the first
king was a flawed man.
Subsequent
kings were unreliable and varied from good to evil. God prepared the people
for a special King that would be the messenger of a new and everlasting
arrangement between God and man.
In this arrangement
which God had already prepared from before the foundation of the earth,
He would put His law in their minds and would write it on their hearts;
He would be their God, and they would be His people.
No longer would
a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, "Know the Lord,"
because they would all know Him, from the least of them to the greatest.
He said he
would forgive their wickedness and would remember their sins no more.
The Jewish
Orthodox religious community has been waiting for many centuries for the
arrival of the "New King" that was to be sent from God. A male child that
was to be born in the city of Bethlehem according to the prophecies of
Isaiah.
The name given
is called "Yeshua", or "Im-A- Nuel" meaning "God Is With
Us" many times misspelled and used by many in the Gentile community
as Immanuel. In English He is now called “Jesus” or/and "The Son".
A new star
appeared in the sky and moved to rest over the place where the child lay
for a period of time, and it drew people to him. Later when He had grown
to be a man He began speaking of things the world had not heard.
He said that
sinners should repent. Speaking through John the baptist, He said, the
Kingdom of God is near. Everyone is called to turn away from the work of
their hands, the worship of demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze,
stone and wood, as well as murder, magic arts, sexual immorality, and thefts.
He also warned
of the condemnation, to the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, and all
liars, saying to them that their place will be in the fiery lake of burning
sulfur. This is the second death.
He also said
that to do these things in your heart is equivalent to doing them in the
flesh, saying that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed
adultery with her in his heart, and that anyone who hates his brother without
cause is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in
him.
He said that
no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is “born again”.
He explained
that Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
As we have
already been born once of a fleshly body, we must still be separately born
of spirit. This Spirit comes from God.
He said that
no one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven, the
Son of Man (a title that He applied to himself).
He went on
to say that he needed to be “lifted up” (a frequent reference to
his death) in such a way so as that everyone who believed in him may have
eternal life.
THE PLAN
OF SALVATION
There
was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
the same came
to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher
come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except
God be with him.
Jesus answered
and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto
thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith
unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second
time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jesus answered,
Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,
he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That which
is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is
spirit.
Marvel not
that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
The wind bloweth
where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell
whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of
the Spirit.
Nicodemus answered
and said unto him, How can these things be?
Jesus answered
and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel,
and knowest not these things?
Verily, verily,
I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen;
and ye receive not our witness.
If I have told
you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell
you of heavenly things?
And no man
hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the
Son of man which is in heaven.
And as Moses
lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be
lifted up:
that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so
loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent
not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through
him might be saved.
He that believeth
on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is
the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness
rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For every one
that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his
deeds should be reproved.
But he that
doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that
they are wrought in God.
John
3: 1-21 KJV
THIS IS NOT
LOVE, THIS IS RELIGION
A new command
He gave us: This Commandment is to love one another, and NOT to hate one
another.
At times the
zealously for the Gospel or religion is so Twisted and crooked in the hearts
of those who call themselves Christians that hatred is built in their hearts
against those who are teaching, mentoring, edifying and discipling them.
They service
God with their lips yet they hate their brother with their mouth. they
criticize their pastors and yell at them and even at times curse at them.
They prove that they have no reverence for the office of the man of God
not the Glory that rests upon them.
Like Ananias
and his wife, Sapphira, who were members of the early church in Jerusalem
and were struck dead for attempted deception with regard to some money.
They were not
obliged to give alms nor to pay tithes. Not one person is obliged to give
to the work of the Gospel. Their sins, Ananias and his wife, Sapphira,
was that after selling their property, they declared that "this was all
the money that was made" from the selling of their home.
They kept declaring
that "all was well" and that there was plenty of finances coming in. Again
their sin was not "the not giving" but the denying of their profit
in selling their home.
They simply
lied to the man of God and the anointing in his life and said to him in
front of the whole congregation, "this is all there is to it from the profit
of the selling of the house."
They refused
to pay their full tithes by lying. People today are also dying spiritually,
some will die before their time and not live to see the fullness of their
inheritance. Not because they are not paying tithes, but because they are
lying in order not to pay the tithes.
This does change
when true repentance and clear evidence of love in their hearts and tongues
is seen.
"But
a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
and kept
back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a
certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
But Peter
said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost,
and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Whiles it
remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine
own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast
not lied unto men, but unto God.
And Ananias
hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came
on all them that heard these things.
And the
young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
Acts
5: 1-6 KJV
So to continue
our story, as He has loved us, so we must love one another. Saying that
no one has greater love than the one who would lay down His life for his
friends, and that we are His friends if we do what He commanded.
He also said
if we (as individuals) forgive men when they sin against us, then our heavenly
Father will also forgive us; but, if we do not forgive men their
sins, our Father will not forgive our sins.
This is a lesson
that is rarely practiced by many within the CHURCH.
They preach,
they teach, they claim to love God, they claim to have compassion for their
brother's soul, they move from one church to another in an eternal effort
to find truth. This is done because of the lack of teaching on behalf of
the leadership within the church.
How can the
sheep love if they are not taught to so so?
Yet, they judged
their brother. They do so because "they do not know what they are doing."
They hate their brothers and sister without just cause. And they do not
do it unawares.
in other words,
they are very conscious of their actions. the operate under the same spirit
of religion that they claim they hate so much. They destroy their fellowman
through the common practice of gossip ignoring the advise of the Apostle
James when he said that...
Behold,
we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about
their whole body.
Behold also
the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds,
yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor
listeth.
Even so
the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great
a matter a little fire kindleth!
And the
tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members,
that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature;
and it is set on fire of hell.
James
3: 3-6 KJV
These, religious
followers who claim to love God, use the excuse of the other person's behavior
to attack their faith and judge them. This is not what our LORD taught
us.
They do this
to relive the oppression of frustration in their own lives. With the excuse
that they must save them from their own errors.
Gnashing their
teeth at their leaders and pastors, they easily forget the WORDS of our
Jewish Carpenter as they become consumed with their own hatred.
And
seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set,
his disciples came unto him:
and he opened
his mouth, and taught them, saying,
Blessed
are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are
they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are
the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are
they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be
filled.
Blessed are
the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are
the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are
the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are
they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom
of heaven.
Blessed are
ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner
of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and
be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted
they the prophets which were before you.
Jesus Teaches About
Salt And Light
Ye are the
salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall
it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and
to be trodden under foot of men.
Ye are the
light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Neither do
men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and
it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light
so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your
Father which is in heaven.
Jesus Teaches About The
Law
Think not that
I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy,
but to fulfil.
For verily
I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall
in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Whosoever therefore
shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he
shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall
do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
For I say unto
you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the
scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus Teaches About Anger
Ye
have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and
whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
but I say unto
you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be
in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca,
shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool,
shall be in danger of hell fire.
Therefore if
thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother
hath ought against thee;
leave there
thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother,
and then come and offer thy gift.
Agree with
thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any
time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee
to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
Verily I say
unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid
the uttermost farthing.
Jesus Teaches About Lust
Ye
have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit
adultery:
but I say unto
you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed
adultery with her already in his heart.
And if thy
right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable
for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole
body should be cast into hell.
And if thy
right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable
for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole
body should be cast into hell.
Jesus Teaches About Divorce
It
hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing
of divorcement:
but I say unto
you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication,
causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced
committeth adultery.
Jesus teaches About Vows
Again,
ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not
forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
but I say unto
you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:
nor by the
earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city
of the great King.
Neither shalt
thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
But let your
communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these
cometh of evil.
Jesus Teaches About Retaliation
Ye
have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a
tooth:
but I say unto
you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right
cheek, turn to him the other also.
And if any
man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy
cloke also.
And whosoever
shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
Give to him
that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou
away.
Jesus Teaches About Loving
Enemies
Ye
have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate
thine enemy.
But I say unto
you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that
hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
that ye may
be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun
to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on
the unjust.
For if ye love
them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the
same?
And if ye salute
your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans
so?
Be ye therefore
perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Matthew
5 KJV
The measure we
use with others is the measure God will use with us, so we should love
one another. He said that God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten
Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
For God did
not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world
through Him.
Whoever believes
in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned
already because He has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
This Is The Verdict:
That
the One who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, has come into
the world.
But although
the world was made through Him, the world didn't recognize Him when He
came.
Even in
His own land and among His own people, He was not accepted.
But to all
who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children
of God.
Yes!
They are reborn!
This is
not a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, this rebirth
comes from God.
So the WORD
became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing
love and faithfulness.
And we have
seen HIS Glory, the Glory of the only Son of The Father.
This Is The
CONDEMNATION!
And this
is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness
rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For every
one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest
his deeds should be reproved.
But he
that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest,
that they are wrought in God.
JESUS CALLING
GOD HIS FATHER
Concerning
Jesus calling God His own Father and how that makes Himself equal with
God, He gave this answer:
"I
tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by Himself; He can do only what
he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also
does."
"For the
Father loves the Son and shows Him all He does."
"Yes, to
your amazement He will show Him even greater things than these. For just
as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives
life to whom He is pleased to give it."
"Moreover,
the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that
all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father."
He who does
not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.
“I tell
you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal
life and will not be condemned; He has crossed over from death to life.
“I tell
you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear
the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.
For as the
Father has life in himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in himself.
And He has given Him authority to judge because He is the Son of Man.
"Do not
be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves
will hear His voice and come out—those who have done good will rise to
live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.
By myself
I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for
I seek not to please myself but Him who sent me."
Many have asked
the question, "What must we do to do the works God requires to inherit
eternal life?", and Jesus replied simply, "The work of God is this: to
believe in the one He has sent."; for which He also performed miraculous
signs.
The blind were
given sight, the lame were made to walk, those who were diseased were cured,
the deaf were made to hear, and the dead were raised. All of which were
done publicly, in the sight of many.
He explained
that when a man believes, he does not believe in the one God has sent only,
but also in the one who sent Him. To those who believed in His name, He
gave the right to become "children of God".
He said. .
.
"If
ye love me, keep my commandments.
And I will
pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide
with you for ever;
even the
Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not,
neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall
be in you.
I will not
leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
Yet a little
while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye
shall live also."
At
that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
He that
hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he
that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will
manifest myself to him."
John
14:15-21 KJV
"If
a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and
we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
He that
loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not
mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
These things
have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
But the
Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name,
he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.
Peace I
leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give
I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Ye have
heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved
me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father
is greater than I.
And now
I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass,
ye might believe.
Hereafter
I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and
hath nothing in me.
But that
the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment,
even so I do. Arise, let us go hence."
John
14:23-30 KJV
Shortly thereafter,
Jesus was publicly executed through crucifixion, by the religious and secular
states, as a dissident. Although no crime could be found against him.
He submitted,
suffered, and died, and was laid to rest in a tomb. Then on the third day
after his death, he returned back to life.
God had given
Him the authority to lay His life down and to take it back up again, to
firmly establish the validity of His testimony to the world.
Jesus Is Led Away To Be
Crucified
32
And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they
compelled to bear his cross.
33 And when
they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of
a skull,
34 they
gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof,
he would not drink.
Jesus Is Placed On The Cross
35
And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it
might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments
among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
36 And sitting
down they watched him there;
37 and set
up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE
JEWS.
38 Then
were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another
on the left.
39 And they
that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,
40 and saying,
Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself.
If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.
41 Likewise
also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,
42 He saved
others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now
come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
43 He trusted
in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am
the Son of God.
44 The thieves
also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.
Jesus Dies On The Cross
45
Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth
hour.
46 And about
the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli,
Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My
God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
(This
saying made by yeshua, Jesus, needs to be Discerned and understood by the
reader. Commnets are mine)
47 Some of
them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for
Elias.
48 And straightway
one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put
it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
49 The rest
said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
50 Jesus,
when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And,
behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom;
and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 and the
graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 and came
out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city,
and appeared unto many.
54 Now when
the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake,
and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this
was the Son of God.
55 And many
women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee,
ministering unto him:
56 among
which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the
mother of Zebedee’s children.
Jesus Is Laid In The Tomb
57
When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph,
who also himself was Jesus’ disciple:
58 he went
to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body
to be delivered.
59 And when
Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
60 and laid
it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled
a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
61 And there
was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.
Guards Are Posted At The
Tomb
62
Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests
and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,
63 saying,
Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After
three days I will rise again.
64 Command
therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his
disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He
is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
65 Pilate
said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.
66 So they
went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
Matthew
27: 32-66 KJV
He showed His
disciples where His hands and side had been pierced, and He stayed for
a time and continued to teach.
Jesus appears to the disciples
behind locked doors
19
Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the
doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews,
came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace
be unto you.
20 And when
he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the
disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
21 Then
said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you:
as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
22 And when
he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive
ye the Holy Ghost:
23 whose
soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins
ye retain, they are retained.
Jesus Appears To The Disciples
Including Thomas
24
But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus
came.
25 The other
disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto
them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my
finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I
will not believe.
26 And after
eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then
came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said,
Peace
be unto you.
27 Then
saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger,
and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side:
and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas
answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus
saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast
seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet
have believed.
30 And many
other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are
not written in this book:
31 but these
are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of
God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
John
20:19-30 KJV
He was later seen
to ascend into heaven, and we were then told that he would someday return
in the last days in the same way that he departed.
Those who witnessed
these events were charged with spreading the good news, and thereby established
Christianity as a way of life and a personal relationship with the LORD.
Jesus Gives The Great
Commission
15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the
world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth
not shall be damned.
17 And
these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast
out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18
they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall
not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Jesus Ascends Into Haven
19
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven,
and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they
went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming
the word with signs following.
Amen.
Mark
16: 15-20 KJV
Many did so at
the cost of their lives. The way of life and a personal relationship with
the LORD quickly grew into the most consequential faith on earth, as it
remains to this day.
We were warned,
however, that in the last days there will be a great falling away of the
Church as the love of many would grow cold, but those who stand firm until
the end will be saved.
Conclusion:
This Is The
Good News God Has Spoken To Us
Through His
Son, JESUS.
1
If you believe Jesus, then you believe God who sent him.
(This
is not just an intellectual acceptance of who Jesus is, This is accepting
HIM as Lord and saviour of your spirit, body and soul and following Him
and doing His commandements.)
2 Whoever believes
in Him is not condemned,
3 and has
eternal life.
4 Whoever
does not believe stands condemned already
5 and God's
wrath remains on him.
6 Jesus
commands sinners to repent and turn from evil,
7 and for
us to forgive others,
8 to love
others,
9 and to
believe God.
10 Those
who have His commands and obey them will be loved by God, and Jesus will
love him and show himself to him.
11 To those
who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ,
12 and also
to those who obey God
13 through
Him,
14 and to
those who ask God,
15 Jesus
baptizes with the Holy Spirit
16 which
comes from God.
17 That
person is Born Again—born of the Spirit.
18 The Holy
Spirit is a deposit and a seal which guarantees our inheritance which is
to come
19 until
the redemption of those who are God's possession.
20 The Holy
Spirit will then guide you into all truth,
21 will
teach you all things, and will remind you of everything that Jesus has
said to you.
22 When
you sin, you will be reminded to repent and to turn away from all of the
sins you have committed—to do what is just and right.
23 The Sovereign
Lord declared
24 that
for repentance you will be forgiven. Because of the righteous things you
have done, you will live.
25 You heard
Jesus call you to repent,
26 you believed,
and were forgiven.
This is
now your righteousness,
27 which
came from Jesus, and will save you from the wrath that is to come upon
the wicked who remain unrepentant.
28 To this
end you are commanded to go and be baptized in the name of the Father and
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
28 b You
are commanded in the name of Jesus Christ and directed to be taught to
obey everything Jesus has commanded you.
29 This
water symbolizes baptism or the WORD of God represented in the Laver at
the enttrance of the Tabernacle. This WATER that now washes us clean that
now saves us not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a
good conscience toward God.
It saves
you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is
at God's right hand with angels, authorities and powers in submission to
him.
30 When
your brother sins against you and repents, you will be reminded to forgive
him.
31 When
you forgive him, he will be forgiven by God.
32 In this
case, forgiveness for yourself has already been purchased
33 by the
covenant Jesus made for you in His blood.
34 This
new covenant places God's laws in your heart, writes them on your mind,
and your sins and lawless acts God will remember no more.
35 You will
be reminded to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all
your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength,
36 and to
love your neighbor as YOURSELF.
37—there
is no command greater than these.
38 Love
for God is defined to be obeying His commands.
39 Love
for your neighbor is defined this way:
When
your neighbor was hungry, you gave him something to eat.
When thirsty,
you gave him something to drink.
As a stranger,
you invited him in.
When in need
of clothes, you clothed him.
When sick,
you looked after him.
When in prison,
you came and visited him.
40 Whatever
you did for one of the least of these brothers of Jesus, you did for him.
41 When
Jesus returns in His Glory, manifesting all of the Father's attributes
in Himself and all the angels with him, He will sit on His throne in heavenly
glory.
All the
nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one
from another.
42 The righteous
43, which
are those who are right by these standards of God, will be given an inheritance.
This is the kingdom prepared for them since the creation of the world,
44 and they
will go on to eternal life.
45 Jesus
says, "All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the
end will be saved
46 "And
this gospel of the kingdom (Gospel) shall be preached in all the world
for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come..
47 The Holy
Bible contains the eyewitness accounts of those who witnessed Jesus and
who were directed by the Holy Spirit, and is the source of all of this
information.
