Pray
For The Peace Of Jerusalem
Psalm 122:6
For
those of us who are acquainted with Scripture, we might predict with certainty
the spiritual future of a man.
We
also may be able able to know exactly what our most influential religious
leaders think of God today.
We
might even be able with some precision to foretell where the modern Church
will stand tomorrow.

Have
you ever wondered what God is really like?
Are
we ever able to extract from any man a complete honest answer to that question?
Here is
that
question again.
Have
you ever wondered what God is really like?
Have
you ever wondered what really comes into people's mind when they think
about God? Or even you for that matter.
For those
of us who are acquainted with Scripture, we might predict with certainty
the spiritual future of a man. We do that through the Spirit of the Living
God.
But
as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered
into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that
love him.
But
God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth
all things, yea, the deep things of God.
1
Corinthians 2: 9-10 KJV
We also
may be able able to know exactly what our most influential religious leaders
think of God today. We might even be able with some precision to foretell
where the modern Church and the pile of denominations will stand tomorrow.
This
is NOT hard and it certainly is not taking a rocket scientist that denominations
are NOT operating in the GIFTS of the HOLY Spirit. This one can
tell by the amount of sickness and bondage existing in the Church today.
If
you were asked to describe God today, how would you respond? What would
be your real honest to goodness answer?
Would
your description focus on God's POWER and what He can do, or would
it recognize the magnitude and wonder of His attributes that distinguish
Him as God Almighty?
Knowing
God and discovering what He is like is the most worthwhile endeavor to
which mankind can devote himself for this is the ultimate purpose for man's
existence. I always teach in all my worship meetings that this is the High
Calling our beloved Apostle Paul refers to in his letter to the Philippians.
I
press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of
God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians
3:14 KJV
Many natural
minded men and women have put their trust in temporal things, including
religion,
denominations and churches, wealth and fame. This they do inadvertently
believing that success and achievement in life represent the purpose for
their existence.
The
Word of God, however, offers this admonition:
“Thus
saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the
mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
But
let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth
me, that I am the Lord which exercise loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness,
in the earth, for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.”
Jeremiah
9:23-24 KJV
Though
the natural mind could never fully contain the unfathomable greatness of
God, you and I can know Him and discover what He is like through the revelation
of His Word and through a personal relationship with Him.
The
unfolding process of knowing God may take some time in your life depending
on the hunger you may have for this revelation. Some have found out the
hard way in their death bed as they are ready to enter heaven. They find
that all along they have been practicing religion. their departure from
planet earth is NOT an easy one.
It
may be necessary for us to alter our former beliefs about God as the GLORY
that gilds the Sacred Scriptures dawns over our interior lives exposing
darkness.
Our theology
is ALWAYS shaken once we come face to face with our Creator. He
can be known in increasing degrees of intimate acquaintance as we prepare
our hearts for the wonder of who He is.
When
we finally arrive at His Gates, we realize that this is a journey that
will take an eternity. Oh yes, you may receive seven revelations here on
the earth that will lead you to the Holy of Holies, but once there the
real journey begins for an eternity.
So as
we embark upon this quest to know God from the day we receive His Spirit
into our lives, we begin an adventure in this life that eventually will
reach into eternity. This adventure will bring us face to face with the
Living God! Even then you will only be looking at a millionth or a billionth
of a facet of who He really is.
"Seeing
then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
and
not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel
could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
but
their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken
away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ.
But
even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.
Nevertheless
when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.
Now
the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is
liberty.
But
we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are
changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit
of the Lord."
2
Corinthians 3 18 KJV
God Almighty
created man to know Him, for the Word of God declares,
“And
this is life eternal; that they might know thee, the only true God”
John
17:3 KJV
This is
man's chief end and ultimate purpose, and God reveals Himself through an
unfolding revelation of His name.
We
capture a brief glimpse of the inexhaustible grandeur of God's nature,
the impressiveness of beauty on a larger scale and character of God as
we examine the revelations of His ONE name in scripture.
This
God of Creation has revealed Himself to us in twelve glorious revelations
of
His name.
ONE
NAME, TWELVE REVELATIONS
Each revelation
of the One Name of God draws us closer to Him. As we gain understanding
of what He is like, we begin to appreciate in greater depth the relationship
that He wants to have with us.
These
revelations bring us to a closer relationship, producing a more intimate
fellowship with Him.
Our
prophets of old received these revelations years apart. Through the
unction of the Holy Spirit, these revelations were recorded in perfect
order, for God is a God of order.
These
revelations inspired of the Holy Spirit define with perfection the nature
of an awesome, wonderful and powerful God.
In
My Own Words,
