A
Relaxed
And Careless Spirit
The
Scriptures, the Word of God make us invincible. We are unbeatable, for
there is no foe who is a match for God the Creator of heaven and earth.
Who can rise up against God Almighty and win? Absolutely no one.

The LORD God Almighty
has paid a great price to set His people free from bondage. So it is very
clear that His Spirit does not desire nor want us to tolerate oppression
in any way shape or form.
His desires
is completely the opposite. He wants us to absolutely conquer bondage and
oppression. He has not called us to be passive in our walk with HIM. He
has called us to war! Therefore He has given unto His Church POWER. yes!
God has anointed us with the POWER of HIS most wonderful Holy Spirit. He
has mandated His Son Jesus to give us His authority that we may use it
here on the earth.
Behold,
I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all
the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luke
10:19 KJV
The authority
that is given our Lord and Saviour is not that he may be on Guard or act
on the defensive. This authority given to HIM is designed to battle with
the enemy. As we mature in our following of His Son, we do battle with
the enemy as well.
A good example
of one who practices the authority of the believer was King David. his
declaration is loud and clear in the Psalms. Oh! He signs with joy and
great triumph under the anointing of God.
I
have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again
till they were consumed.
Psalm
18:37 KJV
There is one thing
that we must absolutely understand before we even consider spiritual warfare.
This must be clear in your spirit and in your mind. Like King David, we
first must be worshipers of God. it is to our disadvantage to persue our
enemies without first pursuing God in worship. Our Shouts and our Victories
are guaranteed through our worship, so that when the LORD leads us into
war against the enemy, we thoroughly defeat them in war.
I will go even
further than that and give you a mouth full. You are either pursuing the
enemy or the enemy is actively pursuing you. As followers of the LORD Jesus
Christ, we must become like HIM. It is imperative that we become like HIM.
Our thinking,
behavior, our attitudes towards evil must be like His. Keeping Scripture
in mind that the Lord came to destroy the works of the devil gives us the
assurance that we also would do the same great exploits.
He
that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the
works of the devil.

Ye
that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he
delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

I always say that
God is not looking for those who are passive in their walk with HIM. If
there is anything that the devil loves more is a passive believer. The
Spirit of the Living god is looking for those who are warriors and warriors
like Elijah.
Yes! His Spirit
is looking for commitment, for determination in in our part so that we
like our Saviour will persue the enemy until they are completely consumed.
It is the reality of our walk that as we develop a positive aggressive
attitude towards our GOD and a negative aggressive attitude towards the
devil, that our heart, faith and sprit become strong. This allows us to
mature and become like HIM and manifest His Glory.
Just like our
master we can live and forgive the failures of humans, but we must never
allow evil spirits and strongholds to manipulate us and control our lives.
As we follow His example, we must develop an aggressive destructive attitude
towards our spiritual enemies.
We do not make
deals with the enemy, we do not negotiate with the enemy, we do not back
up from the enemy, we do not find neutral ground with the enemy nor do
we cut them any slack. there is simply no room for peace and mercy nor
a passive passive spirit in our heart's in God's army.
As we continue
to review this most fascinating subject, we must look at classic examples
of our necessities in attacking aggressively against our common enemy the
devil. First of all we must conquer the battle for the mind. We must not
allow us to be repeatedly frustrated by the spirit of fear, nor self pity,
anger, immoral thoughts or fleshly lusts.
It is not in
vain that the apostle Paul commanded us to renew our minds indicating that
these thoughts and feelings will not go away by themselves but by the reading
of the WORD of GOD.
When there
is demonic activity exploiting your mind, your life and your sin nature,
that particular enemy must be confronted head on in the authority that
the LORD Jesus Christ has given you and me.
It does not
matter what or who it is that you are fighting. It could be fear, it could
be lust, it could be finances, rejection, gossip, unforgiveness, lust or
any other sin. you are literally at war with the enemy of your mind and
soul and you must win. I am saying it again. You must win by attacking
and counterattacking counterattacking.
Unfortunately,
most believers are deceived by thinking that they don't have a problem
with an evil spirit; they think that their battle is with the flesh. But
what they do not understand is that their flesh is manipulated by an evil
spirit.
When you begin
to see the same failure in a specific area of your life, you can rest assured
that this is deeply rooted in the carnal attitudes of your old nature,
the old you. it only means one thing, your mind is in need of desperate
renewal.
